Proof of purchase for 8800?

Is a proof of purchase needed to return an 8800 gts for warranty? I believe i have lost my receipt!

call up the Manufacturer... they'll probably just ask u to send it to them.. and they'll send u a new one.. thats what happened with my Sapphire x1950xt and they were more than happy too..

what company is it? some just need the actual card and the serial number(on the card itself)...

usually they ask yo uto ship it back anyway as you could be usign a friends receipt or a friends sireal code, not everyoen is as nieve as lg, i got my second monitor for free as they sent me the new one but the tech forgot to ask for my credit card number as colateral incase i didnt send the old one back, so i never sent it back, turned out my 7900gt was artifacting my desktop and it wasnt the monitor dying.
