the corsiar hx520w is modular and i got it on clubit.com for 90.90 ... Its the num.1 recommended around here...
 
modular can have more resistance but if you really want modular go with the corsair or enermax

This is true, modular power supplies do have slightly more resistence on the lines than do non-modular. Which means an increased likelyhood for flucturations on the voltages/amperages. BUT, its nothing to worry about so long as its not a cheap POS PSU.

Just ating the facts not saying he should not buy it but anything can happen even from reliable PSU manufacturers just like Asus can send out faulty motherboards :p.

Right, but, its LESS (How much is up to much debate) likely to happen with certain brands compared to others.
