Suggested Anti-Virus for XP?

I just reformatted my computer and I have a freshly installed Windows XP. What Anti-Virus should I install? There are so many options!

AVG or Avast have free versions. NOD32 is also very good. For the money you can't go wrong with AVG. Free is good.

Avast also has a free version that is very good as well. I prefer that over AVG. We each have our preferences.
