3GB of Dual Channel RAM

I'm gonna stick with 2x1gb sticks and 2x512gb sticks, thats pleanty to run XP with Call of Duty 4...Its pleanty to run it on Vista as well since it's the setup my brother has. Since I don't plan to make Vista my main OS right away, it will be fine with 3 for now.

Yea just go with 4x1gb sure Your OS wont recognize 512mb of it but will still be there for the future btw Fry's is selling 2gb of Crucial Ballistix for $50 great deal!

Couldn't you just do a 2 x 1GB kit and a 1x 1GB kit? Or 3 orders of the same 1GB kit?

512mb sticks aint the best option in my eyes. Either get 2gb or 4gb.. why 3? :\ the price dif between 2x512 and 2x1gb ballistix.. is a hamburger GO LARGE!
