i got the ram covered, im just gonna mail it in a padded envelope. i think i have an old ddr2 box it will fit in maybe (its ddr).
i'll mail it off monday, vern should get it by like wed/thurs, i live in texas.

you can crossfire a 3850 and a 3870. i plan on moving up to a am2+ board sometime and getting the really nice asus am2+ board and throwing 2 more 3870's when they come back on.

yep.. the cards don't need to be identical... and Crossfire also scales better than SLi

octofire would need a small nuclear reactor in your rig

hmm could you get 2 3870's crossfire them and then and teh x23870 and it would work like 4 3870's in cross fire with 3 cards?

wonder how much the 3870 X2's are...
and are the 3870's in stock anywhere? cause I wanna get either one or 2 depending on how expensive they are for my build and they don't have any on the egg which is my primary purchasing area.

buy.com has them but for around 260 which i don't want to/can't pay at the moment.
