Is anybody here playing Crysis on an ATI x1900XTX 512 MB video card?

I hope so....I need a heads up on what kind of performance to expect

I am hoping for at least 1024 x 768 at medium settings with no AA...will I get that and have decent FPS?

Also what are the top 5 video cards out right now, and would it be worth it to upgrade this card, or just wait for next gen card?

for me this is my guesse the 8800 ultra the 8800 gtx the 8800gt the ati3870 then the 8800gts 640mb the one that boats the best value is the 8800gt as it only costs 280$ and performs 6% slower then the 8800gt which is over 500$

i can play crysis on medium/1280x1024 rez/4x AA with a Nvidia 7800GS 512mb "AGP!" :D

xAA is the biggest hit on performance so i think if you dont mind the jaggies then should play at the rez. i think.

1. Nvidia 8800Ultra
2. Nvidia 8800GTX
3. Nvidia 8800GT
4. Nvidia 8800GTS
5. ATi 3870XT

if you got the money 8800GT is the one to go for atm. But youll need the rest of the system to be semi decent. Or just wait till new cards out like 3870 X2 (dual gpu 1card) or revised 8800GTS.. or even when nvidia release this so called 9 series.

he already has the 1900XTX, and you should be more than fine on that rig. I played 1024 x 768 at medium settings with no AA on an X1950GT+E2160 with Fraps showing me 25-30+ fps, actually, it wasn't even all on medium, I set everything to high except shaders and post-processing, which were both on medium. Lowering anything else except shadows didn't yield much of a performance difference, although with textures to high, I had to wait a little for textures to load up nicely, but didn't have an impact on my framerate.

I preferred 1280x1024, but all on medium, which gave about the same framerate.

AND MAKE SURE YOU'RE RUNNING UNDER XP!!

You are running 4 X AA and getting good frames????

Maybe i should have asked can i expect 35 FPS

Personally I dont want to play with frames in the teens...I would sacrifice some eye-candy for smoothness :)

Are you actually getting good frames with 4XAA on the 7800 video card??

im quite amazed myself

Well then I should get 35 FPS at 1024 X 768 and no AA on X1900XTX if you get 25 FPS on 1280 X 1024 4XAA on 7800....sound about right?

If thats the case I see absolutlely no need to upgrade my video card until the next gen of cards come out.

This card does extremly well at all other games i have played :)

fraps baby :p

i dont really know if you will get that as everything acts bit different on different stuff.

I got my system and XP purring like a kitten atm.. not bad for a old pc. ;)
