Dealing with ram, I've got a few questions.

It's just a **** of a lot of work for the motherboard to address all that memory.

Well 4gb should be plenty...or if you really want to try 8gb it should run if you give some more voltage to the northbridge and slacken some timings.

Or ideally, if you don't plan on doing any overclocking, a server class board would be the most stable for large amounts of memory.
 
I see, maybe it's best that I stick with 4 gigs or 6 if I want to be odd lol. I can't say I'd know what to do here too much. Do you think it'd be smart to purchase the 8gig package and sale off 4 gigs? Or should I purchase 4 1 gig sticks for the $85 (2 x 1GB)?
 
Anyone know if those overclock well? Seems like my kinda RAM...

gskill ram always overclocks well. they use high quality IC's, even the lower end ram sticks overclock very well. depending on what you are using your computer for ddr 800 will be fine for both gaming and video editing.
