yeah building your own pc is really easy, just 2 tips to keep in mind. 1 if it doesn't fit don't force it. 2 if you have a problem, make a thread and you'll be helped. No one is gonna say its a dumb question cause we all started somewhere and didn't get to where we are by being 100% perfect. so in saying that, good luck building your pc!!!

Easily the most important thing is to make sure everything is compatible. I don't know a whole lot about hardware (though I know more than I did a month ago and I've been reading up on it) but every time I thought I might buy something or do something I did a little research and found out it wasn't compatible.

You might not run into this problem but before you buy, check for power requirements, slot types, and you may even want to ask on here about the speed as sometimes having one thing thats too slow can make something else slow.

Honestly, even if I had $4,000 I would get what vernong just suggested. Doesn't get better then those parts in terms of bang for your buck. A little suggestion would be to not cheap out on a case, like I have done. You will end up regretting it later.

Thanks so much for the list vernong1992!!

What is a good hard drive that I should get??
What is a good case that I should get???

Also, what is a good monitor that I should get??

I really appreciate everyone's help on this!!
