2 x Diamond Viper Radeon HD 3870 512MB GDDR4 PCI-E Dual DVI-I HDCP HDMI HDTV Out Video Card (2 of these in crossfire, what will there performance be? better than a 8800GT?)

I need some advice on compatibility, will this all fit in my case and when built work like its supposed to? Also should i get watercooling instead of the tuniq tower? just a suggestion because i want it to be cool when i over clock it.Also what should i go for in video cards, i want crossfire but i dont want to spend too much?

yes...there is a reason we dont recommend it....did you look up reviews on it before you bought it?
and change the hdd to this

The 8800GT is better, however he wants to crossfire the 3870's. If you dont plan on using crossfire then go with a 8800GT.

Yes you can hit 3.5ghz with a q6600 on a maximus formula, just go into the CPU level up utility in BIOS and select crazy. I would suggest a thermalright extreme if it can fit instead of the tuniq tower. Again, if it can fit.

If you plan on going with a 8800Gt ditch the physx card because the 8800 series have built in Physics.

Another thing to consider if you go crossfire is space. As well as if you will have enough PCI slots for 2 ghx cards ( dont know how big they are, they might block a slot or 2) on top of a phyx card, sound card and anything else you use

Btw the maximus comes with a sound card, supreme FX 2. So far i have had no problems with it, sounds just as good as my sound blaster audigy 2

Food for thought, why not consider a full tower case like a cool master stacker or silvertone TJ-09?
