While everyone's attention is on the Radeon HD 3800 series today (and rightly so), I thought I'd post a few teaser images of ATi's Quad CrossFire in action to stir things up a bit. Looks mighty impressive, doesn't it?

Neat, finally a use for those 1000W power supplies. Also, i hope they live where its cold, or their AC is gonna be working really hard.

What kind of performance would that give? I'm thinking very good... lol. Also, the 3800 series is WAY cheaper than I anticipated.

edit: It looks like it's only using a 750W PSU too. Or do my eyes deceive me?

edit2: Also. This isn't totally useless. Crysis laughs at every peace of hardware thrown at it right now. Quad-GPUs may change that.

with a qx9650 this could max out crysis (COULD)
