I just thought it would be a nice idea to have a list of recommended PC components. This very long list covers budgets from low to high. Please give your inputs or opinions, to improve these lists.

There are also links to each of the components:
[N] - Newegg
[C] - ClubIT
- svc.com
[D] - Dell
[P] - Petra's Tech Shop
[T] - TankGuys
[J] - Jab-Tech
[Z] - ZipZoomFly
If some of the components do not have links, I have not been able to find a reliable one.

***I will continue updating as time goes on. When new components are released...

Based on the consensus here on T.F........

Just so you know, the forums already have a Recommended Builds Guide in Trotter's "Tutorials" sticky. I like yours more, b1gapl, but it just seems weird having two.

One (time consuming) idea to improve this post would be to do something like this to include links to the product on other pages:

[N][T][C] Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz LGA 775 Processor

[N] = Newegg
[T] = Tiger Direct
[C] = Club IT

If this is a bit much, then even just Newegg links would be better...

That thread hasn't been updated in months. But I will keep mine updated every few days to a week.

Nice idea. I will work on that. Thing is though, there is a 10k character limit for each post. I might end up editing some of the earlier posts here, to make up, if it does go over. Or I'll just edit the current list to take up less space, and be more efficient.

Might be a way to reserve a couple of posts possibly? If I recall, there's a way that moderators/admins can move posts up. So just reserve a couple for future reference.

Should have split it into 3 posts. =\

But if you keep this updated, this will be an awesome list.

really really helpful
but i dont really know if the 5000+ is good for "high end" build
isnt it outperformed by the e2180?
or is it specifically aimed at those waiting for the phenom?
