New comp freezing issues

i just got a new Vista, the stuff i know about is in my sig, going by parts it looks better than my old xp(e-machines, 1gb of ram, radeon xpress 200, amd athalon 3300) however i am encountering LOTS of freezing running games(soldier front, war rock) that didn't cause any problems on my old computer.(i have virus scanned both computers, the xp with sbcglobals included scanner and the vista with windows live one care, the xp had 3 trojans and the Vista was clean.)
