i was choosing a HDD for my new GAMING PC and i got stuck with this :

should i use
1X 74GB RAPTOR + 1X Seagate 500GB Barracuda 7200.11
or
2X Seagate 500GB Barracuda 7200.11 in RAID0 ( i don't know how to set it but i can learn)

they both have the same price

BTW : i will be using an evga nvidia nForce 680i SLI motherboard

thanks for you help

The two 7200.11s in RAID 0 will get you a fast speed similar to a single Raptor, plus giving more storage capacity.

Setting RAID 0 isn't that difficult. Just make sure you backup your important data...well you should, in any given situation.

how about
2X Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250410AS 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive (one single platter,)
in RAID 0 ?

would that be good (both cost efficent, cost about the same price as 1X 74GB RAPTOR, and fast HDDs) ?
would do you think?
