Will a 500W PSU be sufficient?

ETASIS is a highly recommended brand actually...up there with the best but usually more expensive.

The Corsair 550VX will be more than enough for that build...the rosewill RP550 is about as low as you could go for a build like that. 35A is a pretty good safe point with just an 8800GT as they use less watts than the other 8800's. However for only 30 more the 5500VX is an amazing PSU

Power supply calculators are stupid. You certainly do not need a min of 538 Watts for that build..

very very true. they just calculate on an average since 12v rail matters most

Etasis builds server quality PSUs, IE, VERY HIGH.

And at the price AR @ NewEgg, the 750w and 850w PSUs are both great deals.

Hey guys, thanks for all the help.

We are both going to be building new rigs soon and I think they are going to be almost identical. We are also going to be using Q6600's instead of 6700s.

I am thinking about going with this Antec 500w PSU. It has two 12v rails, for a total of 34A.
