laptop scares me with crazy temps

i got a Hp Dv2000Tx laptop, (see link for specs)

The Temps on this thing is outrageous, 75 Idle... and you dont wanna know when im playing a game



I have added another 1 Gb of memory to it ..


The Temps on this thing is outrageous, 75 Idle... and you dont wanna know what its like when i play WoW... on the top left hand side and centre where graphics (nvidia 8400Mgs) you cant touch it.. way to hot

whoa that's not good....Make sure the vents aren't blocked, or try cleaning out dust that may be blocking those vents.

Is it new??? Are the fans defective??? Have there been any bad reviews regarding incredibly high temps???

Contact HP and ask them to take a look at it. They will probably replace the fans as it sounds like they are defective. It shouldn't get anywhere near that hot if the fans are running (unless they are completely clogged with dust).

HP has a very good turnaround. Print up those screenshots and include them in the box (they will send you prepaid shipping materials) when you send it in. They should fix the problem.
