Ok ive found this computer on pcoption. It costs £550 altogether and i was wondering if it will be good for gaming. I will be playing some of the new games like et quake wars but some of the older games to like medieval 2 and sims 2. Will this system be able to play them on medium or high ?

Gamers Base Unit
AMD AM2 Dual Core 64 X2 5600
No PSU Upgrade Standard 750 Watt
Nvidia GForce EN8800GT 512MB Graphics
320GB Sata 2 Hard Drive
2048 DDR 2 800 MHz
Xp Home With SP2 & Disc
Sony 18 X DVD Dual Layer Writer
Msi K9N Neo-F V2 Motherboard

Yes, although if they give an option to move up the CPU a little bit, do it ^^

thats actually not bad at all.
Just make sure the psu is reliable...idk anything about the mobo either.
And install xp pro...not home.
You could also go with vista since its a dx10 card.

Vista is fine. If you are PURCHASING an OS get vista, there is no reason to buy xp unless you already have it. Vista home premium is fine.

why not just go with ultimate...sure the extras arent all that worth it...but i just go for the best....since its not that much more.

Because vista home premium 32 can be had for 80 bucks, 64bit for 110 bucks while vista ultimate is like 220. These are all oem versions of course.

well my gf's got a brand new unopened vist ultimate 32 bit oem version. Ill gladly sell it for $150 shipped to anyone who wants it.

it says 32 bit on the box...sorry

if it was 64 bit, i wouldve used it by now.

Since your not interested, could you find or let me know if anyone is...thanks!!
