Howdy.

Finally decided to try pushing my OC a little more now that my bios is up to date and reading the right temps (hopefully). I couldn't get my OC any higher than 2.5Ghz, so I went into bios and changed my ram setting, it was at "800Mhz" and i think its at 533Mhz now, now I'm at 2.66 on stock cooling getting 19C-23C on idle.

I'll try pushing it higher in a minute, the temps seem to be staying really low.

I Have a rough idea of what changing the frequency from 800Mhz to 533Mhz does, can anybody explain it a little better? Is it safe?

It underclocks your RAM, and it allows you to increase the FSB on the CPU without being held back by the RAM. And yes, it is safe.

Is it worth it, slowing the ram down to gain CPU performance?

It was lowered to 667Mhz btw, not 533Mhz, my mistake.
