I've looked around and all I could find was "Try and keep it small" for filesize. I just wanna know what you guys accept as small?
i've seen between 25-60 ish KB around here. I'm just curious cause I've been workin around in photoshop and the one I've made is about 80kb. Now to me thats tiny.. but I'm running highspeed and all that jazz.
I could try a few things to make it smaller. i'm just wondering what your take on that is. I don't want to inconvenience anyone or unintentionally break any rules. Appreciate any help and whatnot. thank you.

Hello hello!
I'm new to this forum but I like it and intend on being a regular.
This is the pic I'd like to use for my avatar. (a. I know it's too big but will resize and b. I know I don't have enough posts yet to be allowed a personal avatar)
When I've moved up in the world high enough to add pics to my signature I'd like these two, preferably side by side and right under my signature. Like this,
