they basically use socket775 or socket T mobos

the names are different . . . pentium 530, 540, 550, 560

but they are still 3GHz, 3.2GHz, 3.4, etc, i think all prescotts

the only thing thats REALLY different are the motherboard and their chipsets

*scooting over to intel.com for complete list*

theyre called 915P, 915G, and 925X (obviously the latter being the best)

they support the new pcix16, which is supposed to be twice as fast as 8xAGP

they also have dual channel DDR2, which is ram running at 533MHz

915p and 915g both support ddr2 and ddr, but 925x ONLY support ddr2 ( i think )

the bandwidth between the memory and i/o controllers has improved by 7.5 times

also, their integrated sound is now for 7.1 speakers, up from 5.1

they say it supports dolby ac3, which i think is high-def audio

also, just like centrino, they will support integrated wireless

hope that answers your question

they arent really a lot of them on the market

if you look at newegg, they only have 2 REAL LGA775s

915P and 915G
