Buying a new computer *EDIT* question about motherboard
Hi
I'm buying a new computer and these are the specs:
Intel Core 2 Quad Processor
2GB RAM
512MB GeForce 8500GT graphics card
Windows Vista Ultimate
When I asked the guy he said the graphics card was one of the best in the market but when I started researching everyone said it was really bad.
I intend to use my computer for gaming (not really intense gaming, as long as it works for Sims 2 I'm happy) and when I go to uni I'm going to do graphics and animation so I want a computer that can handle these well.
Would the 8500GT work alright just for Sims 2 and graphic designing?
If not, what would you suggest would be a good card?
A budget one and a non-budget one please. Preferably one that can handle what I want to do but isn't going to break my -parents'- bank (like the 8800 ultra:freak
Thanks
*EDIT* someone told me that it doesn't matter how good the hardware is if the motherboard is bad.
My motherboard is a MSI P35 Neo
Is that ok?
