Glad I could help in a small way, but if you would like some pics of what one of thies psu's gone bad I will take a few when I get one in an trust me they go bad in a big way.

and how it is skimping? mine is perfectly fine..the internals of a PSU aren't going to be any different from model to model. they are all made in teh same chinese plant and imported with different names.

There is a difference in quality of power supplies.

Its generally not as big as people on this forum tend to make it, because they're super protective of their pcs. Is this a bad thing? meh, I don't know.

Don't skimp on a PSU. You might as well put your whole system on the line if you do, seeing as a bad PSU, when it dies (all do eventually), could very likely take many other components with it. Not to mention other aspects such as reliability, efficiency (and with that, heat dissipation), ect.
