8800GT BenchMarks done.......

I thought the new 8800gts 640mb was the only card getting the 112SP and I thought the 8800gt was suppose to have less. Knowing that it has more SP, I guess it shouldn't be much of a shock that the 8800gt is faster than a old 8800gts.

I wonder how well the 256mb model will do...

probably slightly worse at low res, and significantly worse on 1680 x 1080 and higher, its probably aimed at those with 17-19'' monitors

Im a 17 incher here (1280x1024) so I suppose i'll get the 256MB GT. But it'll be so frustrating if it isn't enough.

On a 17" monitor? No, that's enough.

I don't think that 8800GT will be much better than GTS, because it has only 16 texture unit and 16 ROP. 8800GT might have more shader power than GTS, but it has less texture and pixel fill rate.

I don't think nvidia will make a video card that cost only $240 and performs as good as video card that cost $500, because it will hurt the sales of GTS and GTX

And all these benchmarks for 8800GT came from a Taiwanese website. SO I don't think those benchmarks are true

You should look at the 3dmark thread. It kills the GTS.
