Hello.
I'm new to this forums, and I'm not really fully experianced with laptops or Pcs..

I'm planning on getting a new laptop that I would mostly use for gaming, and multi-tasking.. (Internet, blah blah)
Does anyone know where I can get the best deal for 699?

Someone said this to me..

Intel Core 2 Duo mobile technology T5300 (1.73Ghz) Processor
2gb ram
120gb harddrive.. Got a external)
15inch superclear widescreen display
802.11 a/b/g wireless technology
Microsoft vista home premium
4in1 card reader
4 cell battery
DVD super multi duel layer writer

Well you have to be careful when picking your laptop. I am also looking for a laptop, but the one stipulation I have just like you is that I want to play games. You are going to have to be careful to do some research into what Video card is in the notebook. For gaming you cannot use an integrated Graphics card it will not work right. For that price range though I don't think you'll be able to find one.

Enthusiast (Stay away from these, out of your price range)
GeForce 8700M GT
GeForce Go 7950 GTX
GeForce Go 7900 GTX
GeForce Go 7900 GS
GeForce Go 7800 GTX
GeForce Go 7800
GeForce Go 6800 Ultra
GeForce Go 6800

Performance and Multimedia (might be able to save up for this)
GeForce 8600M GT
GeForce 8600M GS
GeForce Go 7600
GeForce Go 6600

Thin and Light(This is your price range)
GeForce 8400M GT
GeForce 8400M GS
GeForce 8400M G
GeForce Go 7400
GeForce Go 7300
GeForce Go 7200
GeForce Go 6400
GeForce Go 6200

Based on this here are a couple notebooks around your price range that you could grab.

Newegg.com - ZT Element S1002i-74 NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo T7100(1.80GHz) 15.4" Wide XGA 1GB DDR2 667 120GB DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce 8400M G - Retail

It is a couple hundred more than what you are wanting to pay but it supports Dx10 games and is halfway decent.

Newegg.com - ASUS F3 Series F3KA-X1 NoteBook AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-56(1.80GHz) 15.4" Wide XGA 1GB DDR2 667 120GB 5400rpm DVD Super Multi ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 - Retail

Or this one a bit more but Dx10 support and decent. ATI

Honestly I don't think you will get by with games with anything less. That is unless you want to play some hardcore solataire. :D
