Today I set up my computer for the first time. Everything came on like hoped and when I entered the BIOS I went into the Boot options. I told the computer to boot the DVD drive first so it could boot the OS disk (Windows Vista) but when I rebooted with the disk in, the following message appeared:
"Reboot and Select proper Boot device
or Insert Proper Boot Media in selected Device and press any key_"
I also tried taking out the disk, reinserting and pressing a key but a duplicate message appeared below. Is there anyone who could help??

hmm, is everything connected propery? its good to double check everything, all i can say at the moment.. what motherboard are you using?

Check the post and see if your DVD drive is popping up where you should see HDs too. If not then somethings wrong and you need to reconnect some stuff. The only time i have that problem is if its not detecting my optical drive or when its not trying to boot from the right device.
