well can i use that extra 22 gigs? or does windows block it off? if it is not accessable, then the hd manufacterers should have on the box 'only 298 gigs in windows'

320GB HD = 320,000,000,000 bytes

The SI standard 10^9 = 1,000,000,000 bytes
Since its in binary, you'll see 1GB as 8^10 = 1073741824 bytes in Windows

320,000,000,000 bytes / 1073741824 bytes = 298GB

HD companies use the SI standard, so why are they getting sued?

They same thing happened to Western Digital. I don't understand how they could get sued for doing nothing wrong.

Its like when McDonald's was sued for hot coffee spilling and burning. They had to put HOT! all over the cup - if you're that stupid, I don't think you are going to even attempt to read the cup in the first place.

HD companies use the SI standard, so why are they getting sued?

Just like you said before.

They're just ignorant.

I think this lawsuit is ridiculous. I hate how some people will sue for anything. I hope this person loses and has to pay a ton of money in attorney's fees.

ya... nowadays you can sue for anything... ever heard of I'll Sue Ya by Weird Al?
