Getting a Raptor HDD

I know everyone is strongly against raptor HDs but I think the 150 gig raptor I got for 165 after MIR was one of the best decisions I made ( I also got a 80 gig seagate for media storage ). I store the OS and all my games on the raptor and its great cause I dont have to deal with all the hassle of setting up the RAID and lose the double risk of HD data loss. Not to mention I heard my mobo has problems with RAID sometimes, I think its just so much worth it to dish out the extra 85 bucks. My time is worth so much more

Well in the OPs case with a raptor for $60 it is definitely worth it but to buy new for $100+ completely pointless

Here is what I got, for the 60$.
I'm goign to register the product, see how many months are left, and on the last month, if I need to. I'll RMA it.

EVGA told me they give you new cards when you RMA yours since they do not have a refurbished pile waiting

that's true. When I had to send my 7600GS in for RMA, they sent me a brand new/factory sealed one.

time is far more valuable then money in my life, heck you only live once that "20" seconds over a 5 year period adds up to a lot...

plus in BF2 a raptor HD gets you to the jet first since the map loads faster
