e4400 OC

Just oc'ed my e4400 stock 2.01ghz to 3.01ghz. will post cpu-z ss's when I get a os installed on it. haha.

Question:
is it better to have it run at 3ghz on an 800FSB or run at 2ghz on 1066 FSB?

Wait so you haven't checked its load temps , since you can't benchmark without an OS ?

i have temps from the bios. and they are reading stable. under 25

Higher FSB is better. Then again, a 66MHz difference between the FSBs, isn't much.

I'm talking about real clocks here. 800 (200) and 1066 (266). They are quad pumped.

so its better to increase the cpu speed by 50% then to upgrade the fsb speed?

Did you drop the multiplier, to get 2GHz with a 266 FSB? Why not keep it at 10x, and keep going after the 200 FSB mark?

im pretty new to ocing stuff. but the multiplier is at 10x, and the clock is 300.

argh...got mixed up. So then you should of said 3GHz on a 1200FSB.

I'm pretty sure you can get at least get 3.2-3.4GHz out of that E4400. What cooler are you using?
