Please advise of methods/software (preferrably free) that can assist me to get access to unbootable pc to copy some files from HDD to slave HDD prior to windows repair installation.....or set a restore point......
will I lose outlook.pst?
Tried Bart PE, but it seems to need to be built around c:/windows of problem PC, and found ERD Commander and seems it is suitable for win 98, 2000 and NT, no mention of XP, and has since been purchased by MS, have you gotta link?
Well, you know, you gotta know where to "find" it now, its out there somewhere. It's not free if you get if from MS. You used to be able to get an emergency copy but not sure anymore
