yes... but this one:

Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100176L Radeon X1950PRO 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail

is better... sapphire.. takes 1 slot instead of two...

but yours will run cooler... but Sapphires overclock better

wow, those two links are nice deals.

i was wondering if unreal 3 would perform better with an Nvidia, because when you start up unreal, one of the startup screens is the "Built for Nvidia" screen.

On the requirements page for ut3, it also says ATI x1300 is recommended. how does the x1950 compare?

Recommended System Requirements
- 2.4+ GHZ Dual Core Processor
- 1 GBytes of System RAM
- NVIDIA 7800GTX+ or ATI x1300+ Video Card
- 8 GB of Free Hard Drive Space

and also, does the 8600 support turbocache?

did anybody notice that?

7800gtx or an x1300... thats not even in the same league.. shouldn't it be like:

x1950pro or 7800gtx

or

x1300 or 7300gt

Lol, just think of the people that have a x1300 and buy UT3 thinking it will run really really well cause its on the recommended reqs. They will be very dissapointed. Im assuming the 7800gtx is correct...

ok, so if i run ut3 at 1280x1024, any card with over 256mb of ram won't matter (or maybe 512), but the core clock speed and the memory speed are more important?

so what will run ut3 well?

one of the user reviews of this card:
Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100208L Radeon HD 2600XT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail

says:

Pros: I am really amazed at the performance of this card for the price. Plays UT3, Half Life 2, and Team Fortress 2 in 1280x1024 without a hitch.
Cons: Probably won't be able to perform too well in next year's round of games.
Other Thoughts: I really think this is THE budget gaming card at the moment.

The only problem is the:
"won't be able to perform too well in next year's round of games"

I want my card to be useful for more than a year!

DING DING. amount of pipelines or stream processors also matters a lot.

UT3 demo runs pretty good on my x1800 which is overclocked to around x1950pro performance. From I've seen the 8600gt is a bit slower but it would play the game. I still say got for the gts or the x1950 though.
