Dual-booting Vista results in "Out of Range"

Hey, guys, I just installed Vista on a new partition on my hard drive...I got to a point in the installation where it basically said, we'll do the rest, but it'll restart. Fine, so I leave it for a while, come back, and it just says "Out of Range" on my monitor. I know that this means it's trying to use resolution that's too high. But how do I avoid this? All I can do is boot in XP now....Any ideas?

Have you tried going into Safe Mode?

Yeah, but apparently, since it hasn't fully installed, it won't let me do that. It says, you cannot finish installing Vista from Safe Mode. Stupid crappy monitor....

punch vista in the face and kick it off your computer. it's not all that fantastic. just borrow a sick monitor from one of your buddies to finish the installation.

Okay first dont listen to the joker above.

2nd i see you have a video card plugged in. The monitor is hooked up to that right? Try unplugging the card and using onboard video. Make sure onboard is on in your BIOS as well. Maybe that will help you finish the isntall.
