Like I said in another thread, AMD gives you way more processor for the money. I like what I see with the Intel Pentium 4 EE, but its just way too expensive when it doesn't perform much better than a much cheaper Athlon 64. Plus, when 64-bit OS and software hits, who will want 32 bit anymore?

Depends what you need them for? The Xeon is a very good processor, and the P4 Extreme Edition is very fast if you have the money.

AMD gives good performance in games but not much else.

Intel

Better performance if I had the money.
Faster for video/sound/graphics editing.

AMD

Best performance:value for money ratio.
Great performance for gaming.

So basically... AMD is better for games but Intel is better for everything else?

Im not much of a gamer and was gonna go with an AMD when I build my system this fall but now I guess im gonna go with an Intel.
