Ok so I am having trouble with FPS when I play an online game "World Of Warcraft". It drops down to 30fps at some places and at some places it stays up to 60-75. Can this be my video card or something else? I know my comp is good in general.

If you need any other info please tell me I can post basicly anything.

Try lowering the settings, or resolution.
Their isnt anything you can do without a gpu or cpu upgrade to increase fps...
You could try updating your gfx card drivers, i just read up on this forum that a new driver got realeased.

OK, you have a 3.2 Dual core Pentium, 2 gigs of RAM, and a X1600.

Your motherboard will handle a Core2Duo, and that would give you a speed bump. But your best bet would be to upgrade your graphics card.

What kind of budget do you have in mind?

Well I was looking to get the Geforce 8800XT card but I don't want to get it if I have to upgrade something else. Whats the diff between Duo and Pentium D?

I would suggest that you try lowering the max visible distance first. In some areas there is a lot going on and if you have it maxed, the video card has to load all of it at once.

Well if your gonna get the 8800gtx and run your current cpu its going to be bottleneck!!!

Just get the 8800gts and the e2180 and oc the **** outta it and your good to go.

Thats like saying whats the difference between a 10 year old CRT TV and a Plasma/TFT! its just generations apart, so much more technology.

hehehe... you wish... (also theres no 8800xt theres gtx) but ya.. if you want an 8800gtx... you need a CPU ugprade to a Core 2 Duo... then you'll say (this is what some1 said to me) "Core 2 Duo sucks.... its clock speed is so low... my Pentium D has double its speed, for a person with such high posts your an idiot" (another person argued that with me)

then i remember shutting him up with this benchmark:

BCCHardware - Tech News & More! - Pentium D vs Core 2 Duo

and then he apologized like mad.. :0 but I'm just saying.. the Clock Speeds are low because of the Core Architecture based on Pentium 3 Processors
