get this build

cpu: e4500
mobo: gigabyte p35 ds3l
ram: 2gb gskill nq's
vga: 7600gt
psu: rosewill 450w
case: ur choice
hdd: seagate 320gb 16mb cache 7200.1 rpm
dvd drive: samsung, asus, pioneer all good sata drives

you could probably fit a 7900gs in there, significant improvement
also the patriot extremes with 4 latency are only $65 after MIR

how much would this cost me? and btw you guys think i should buy extra RAM to speed up performance on the computer...i was thinking about getting 1GB ram...wat say you?

Kobe's build is great... a couple of substitutions...

how about a 7900gs instead of a 7600gt.. go with an e2180 and overclock it like mad (goes past high 3 ghz) and that should cost around 600-650ish with my suggestions.. also get a AF7 because gaming can make your CPU say "Its getting hot in here" overclocking makes it say that too :)

whats with people always going to intel

this is my suggestion for a build

mobo - jetway M28GT3-SDG-PB
cpu - AMD Antlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6000+
ram - OCZ 2GB pc2-6400 Platinum ( 2 X 1GB)
hdd - 250GB seagate
graphics - nforce 8800 gts 320MB

the other stuf is a case (duh), a dvd rw, power supply and a sound card

well thats because Intel is great for the price... but this is a lower-end system because he didn't specify a budget... and i can tell you that maybe pushing it because that GPU you have there is 1/3 of what my recommendation's price would be...

honestly i like AMD for their budget builds... but Kobe recommended Intel, and i tweaked his build to be more bang for the buck

but if you want AMD:

x2 4400+ brisbane
biostar tforce550 or 7025
and then choose everything else we had on Kobe's list... for the other parts... i think its around the same price as the Intel, but a bit cheaper...
