Alright thanks to all of you here on this site. I found an immense amount of information. Believe it or not i was asking computer questions at a muscle car forum!

This is what should be arriving in 3-5 days:

1) Cooler Master 690

2) Corsair 620HX

3) Q6600 G0 Stepping

4) Abit P35 Pro LGA

5) Crucial Ballistix (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800

6) 8800 Ultra

7) Seagate 320GB

8) Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer 7.1

9) T Ultra-120 Extreme CPU cooler

10)T HR-03 Plus VGA cooler

11)2 x Optical Drives

12)Windows XP Professional

13)Saytek Eclipse Keyboard

14)CHIMEI CMV 22" Widescreen 5ms

15)Logitech G5 Mouse

16)Some speakers, fans and noise damper accessories

Few! Now im broke.

What tips can you guys give me while building this rig up. It has been 7 years since my last build.

Thanks in advance

-Keep your wires neat in the beginning, its a pain to go back.
-Don't get too excited and rip the boxes open, take your time.
-Stay ground so you don't fry your parts
-Find a good workstation to stand by and work on. (wood table)
-Don't force anything into a slot, take your time and see what's wrong.
-If the computer doesn't start up in the beginning don't panic, if you were careful a simple DOA won't kill you, even though it may be a very simple mistake as that happens when dealing with expensive hardware.
-Try to be home when the packages are shipped. (assuming you don't work)
-Make SURE when you first start up the computer, go straight to the BIOS and check if it recognizes any fan plugged into the mobo, make sure all other fans are working as well
-Take your time with parts like the CPU and heatsink, those may be the hardest part of the assembly process

That's all I can think of right now, I'll let the other members finish it off.

And what did you ask at a muscle car forum?
