Well just as the title says is it possible, I have an XP Pro disc but I don't know whether its my CD drive or harddrive which is messed up.
I formatted my pc, all went fine windows copied files over. But now its coming up "Disk Read Error" Regardless of Boot Order, and the CD drive makes strange noises. so I wan't to try and install windows off a external harddrive to check thats its not the internal drive before I go out and buy a replacement. So I need a way to install XP from an external USB drive.
