I hate 11...

10 > 11.

11 also comes bundled with newer distributions of XP with SP2. Incidentally, any OS that comes bundled with 11 is 'incompatible' with 10 or below (the installers will REFUSE to install 10, even if you've already deleted 11 and wiped all traces of it from your HD and registry), so you're stuck with it.

not that it mattered much to me; I use VideoLAN VLC to play all my videos and AVS DVD Player for my DVDs, because unlike WMP11, it actually supports 5.1-7.1 Dolby Digital surround sound.

WMP10 is not greater than WMP11. I have had no problem with 11 at all. Even in its beta stages. Yet WMP10 i couldnt watch half of my videos or any of my movies. Even with every codec pack installed.

Stop bashing the **** software. If you dont like it go to Linux or OS X. WMP11 does support DD5.1 cause i use it all the time to watch movies. Ever think that your speakers isnt setup right. Cause i get full surround sound with my WMP11 movie watching.

CCCP - funny, I've never had a problem playing anything at all on WMP 10.
