wait, so the P35-DS3R also supports 45nm processors? I swore I was told that the P35c was the only one that supported it.

So what's the difference? Is it that bad of a mobo or I just wasted $20 bucks?

All the P35 chipset motherboards, support the future 45nm processors.

Actually even the P31-DS3L which is extremely cheap supports 45nm CPU's...the P35C just has 2 extra slots for DDR3 memory than the regular DS3R. Since DDR3 memory is so expensive and not worth it neither was the mobo. It's not a bad board just a waste of 20 bucks over the DS3R since thats the only difference.

The P35-DS3L probably would have worked for your needs as well, it also supports 45nm.
