unable to double click

Hi there, recently my buddy had problem accessing his hard disk drives. Previously, when he double click with the mouse, the disk drive will open but not anymore. Now he need to right click first and then click on the open function to access to it. Even external hard disk also need to use the above step to open. Anyone here encounter this problem before could englighten my friend? Thanks n advance

Go into the control panel and change the click speed on the mouse. I have seen this happen in the past where the click speed was set wrong and basically made it impossible to click fast enough for it to track a double click.

No, its not the mouse's problem, its the computer's where it is a possibility that the click speed is configured incorrectly. Is he still having this problem after you checked the configuration and tested it on that little folder in that little box?

all folder can be accessable with double click except the problm i mention above

Try clicking on the drive once to get it highlighted, then press enter with the keyboard. Let me know if this works.
