The AF7 has pre-applied MX-1 thermal paste, and I'm pretty sure the hs/f was seated right...I'll have to check again I suppose =\.

Edit: also, according to BIOS, my temp is usually around 27.

doesn't bios record idle temperatures? since its not on load when its in the bios...

anyways, sometimes the pre-applied thermal pastes are really chunked on, you might want to clear some off, having too much doesn't help and might actually hinder performance
