I love gaming on my 1920x1200 resolution 24". The only problem is, as my GTS 320 runs everything perfectly fine right now, i have a feeling that it may fall short when some of the newer games come out. I'll most likely sell the gts and get either a 2900 or a gtx/ultra if the gts cant hang when crisis and other newer games come out.

get the 2900 Pro, it outperforms the 8800 GTS 320mb in almost every benchmark.

the 2900 Pro has 512mb of GDDR3.

Yes, but does it outperform a GTX or Ultra. "If" i decide to buy a new card im probably going to go balls out and buy the best card i can get my hands on :)

No it doesn't outperform 8800GTS 320MB in every benchmark

And according to the the Polish review that I posted in another thread 8800GTS 320MB was outperforming HD2900pro in most cases.

I'm not saying that 8800GTS 320MB is better than HD2900pro.HD2900pro might be overall better but its performance is very close to 8800GTS 320MB. It is not much better as many people here claim

U have the money now n want to spend? Then get the Ultra if u want to. I, however, am waiting for the RV670, R680, n R700 to come out. I do plan on getting the 2900 Pro or 2950 Pro for myself soon.

well in some of the benchmarks of the 2900 Pro i read, it has better performance from the 320 overall, not in everything. Ur right though, i agree with u.

but now i want to see benchmarks against the 640mb!!

Nah like i said, so far the 320 is handling everything just fine. But when crisis and some of the other big games come out i'll have to see if the 320 can still hang or not.

I doubt it. My 640 ocd to 648/1672/2056 core/shader/mem barely handles crysis at high settings with no AA. To be fair the engine isn't optimized yet but I'm just using high (2nd best settings) and it runs like crap. (around 35fps average, drops to 20fps sometimes).

that's ur opinion, lets just see if the benchmarks tell differ.......

*waiting for more benchmarks*

The 2900PRO however has just came out with it's premium price. It is expected to go down in price more and more therefore making it a much better choice.
