It performs better than the 320MB, but not the 640MB version, to be specific.

oh, and to further poke and make fun at Nvidia, it can easily achieve X2900XT speeds with a simple overclock

An X2900XT for a straight regular price of $280? No mail-in-rebates? I don't think you can quite go wrong there.

Newegg.com - HIS Hightech H290PR512DVN-R Radeon HD 2900PRO 512MB 512-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail

OH! And... the X2900PRO has a 512-bit bus as oppose to the 8800GTS's 320-bit bus.

Normally I would say instantly bad idea but since you have one 7600GT and they are cheap...SLI may not be a bad idea really. I could say sell it for like 70 bucks and take the 95 and add them together to get a better card but the 150-180 buck price range doesn't really have anything much better than those in SLI...a 7900GS or X1950PRO I think would rival it single.

7900GS would preform much better then the X1950PRO. That's if you overclock the 7900GS. Otherwise, the X1950PRO would beat it at stock clocks.
