new GPU

i want a new GPU as mine has been seriously outdated, with its 250Mhz Memory Clock haha.

i was looking at the XFX7900GS but i want something tht supports DX10, ive been looking at:

XFX 8600GT 256MB DDR3 540MHz Core Clock 2xDVI PCI-E

ASUS 2600XT 256MB GDDR3 Dual DVI HDCP HDTV out PCI-E Graphics Card

Looking at budget DX10 GPUs is pointless, IMO.

The main point of DX10 is new kinds of eye-candy...getting a budget GPU won't allow you to run the eye-candy anyway.

I have a 7900GT for sale in the classifieds section Only DX9 but loads faster than both the ones you listed. In fact got me almost 7k in 3dmark06 and even outperforms many overclocked x1950xt cards

am I the only one that doesn't understand why people get low end cards?

I mean a 8800 GTS only goes for 250 after MIR and will last you far longer not to mention its like 10x better in performance compared to an 8600?

I would either go for a X1950PRO off Overclockers.co.uk, or Gurusans 7900GT, which is a steal for the price.
