Hi all!

I was searching some info for my assignment in Yahoo web site using mozilla 1.73. and then out of a sudden, my PC suffered a BSOD with the these errors displayed on the screen:
stop: 0X0000007E (0XC0000005, 0XB67O6698, 0XBA16ABAO, 0XBA16A89C)
tcpip.sys - Address B6706698 base at B66EBOOO, DateStamp 411O7ecf

I've got this network card on my PC: VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter
and I am using XP SP2 Pro

Please kindly help!

ANd I am sorry for the late reply.
My XP SP2's a genuine one, which was brought recently from a PC store. When I checked to see the date when the tcpip.sys was modified, I was surprised that it is 4th August, 2004.
It seems MS didn't do anything for the tcpip.sys since the release of SP2.

TCP/IP is a network protocol used by Windows to transfer Website information and various other things. The file Tcpip.sys is the control center for these communications in Windows, errors along side this file usually stop access to the internet.

Since this seems like a file corruption to me you should just repair your installation of Windows and get all of your Updates again. That should fix the error and this would probably be better in the Windows Forum as an issue in Windows. Report back whether if it is fixed or next in your next reply
