Anyone know how much better productivity i will get out of a dual core cpu (e6750) over quad core cpu (q6600) while playing non quad threaded games?

the q6600 will act like an e6600 would.. meaning the e6750 would be better... but by a slight amount...

193 for the E6750 and 266 for the G0 Q6600. Just get the quad. Plus if you OC then it won't really matter if your not taking advantage of the extra cores.

if the rest of your system is on par you probably wont even visually be able to see a change in framerates. 70fps and 200fps makes no difference on any games now. In the future, q660o will probably come out on top, but that doesnt mean the difference will be noticable then either.

That depeds on what you use your computer for.

If you're a gamer and into new games like Crysis and others, get the quad core, some are able to take advantage of it.

Also, multitasking is fantastic with the quads.

Video encoding is a breeze as well, especially when they're OC'ed.

I say get the quad anyways. Eventually your gonna switch to one in the future so why spend 190 now and then try to sell it and buy a quad in the future.
