Well its the time for a new pc for me.. a gaming pc .. i want a computer that plays new games smooth and a direct x10 video card or cards.. the os will be vista premium (64-bit) .. maybe a new monitor also but i dont really really need it right now, and the budget for me is $1,000 .. could go a little over budget but not a lot..
if you can, list the specs and the parts i will need to build dis pc.

sorry i didnt mention.. but i would like an amd computer.. that would only
make me change the motherboard, proccesor and the cooler , am i correct?if so, what motherboard, proccesor and cooler will i need to get.

i know im a noob but im kinda confused on which vista cd im supose to get
to install on the pc.. is it this one,

Newegg.com - Microsoft Windows Vista 64-Bit Home Premium for System Builders Single Pack DVD - OEM

because there were like 3 different kinds.. but all 64-bit..
and should i get the 64-bit or 32-bit.. i dont really know. thanks

The system b1gapl suggested would be the best bang for buck right now. If you want an AMD build then you should go for an AM2+ cpu, motherboard as they are AMD's newest releases.

Why do you want AMD?
Why do you want vista?
What would be your main purpose for the machine?

The 64bit version allows you to add more ram 32bit OS's can only accept 3-3.5gb whilst 64 bit can accept upto 120gb

No problem. Here's the revised list:

Case - Antec 900 (From zipzoomfly.com) or Your choice...
Motherboard - Foxconn C51XEM2AA
CPU - AMD Athlon X2 4000+ 2.1GHz
RAM - 2 x 1GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2-800
Graphics - EVGA 8800GTS 320MB
Power Supply - Corsair 520HX 520w (From buy.com)
Hard Drive - Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB
Optical Drive - Sony NEC Optiarc DVD Burner
Optional Aftermarket HSF - Tuniq 120
OS - Vista Home Premium 32-bit OEM

I chose the X2 4000+ for you, because in a few months, AMD will release their new processors. So you can upgrade either to a Phenom X2 or X4. X2 being dual and X4 being a quad core processor.

I also included the OS, you should be picking.

ok.. im hearing that the intel is faster..
ill see what i will do.. but thanks

and i was thinking using a getting a centurion 5 case ..
will it all fit ?

as I said originally the intel is the faste3st atm but if you don't mind gambling then go with an AM2+ system which is having the new processors over the next couple of months.

if i got the intel system that u first posted.. will i be able to overclock anything? ,
without damaging , or w.e happens when u overclock
