2 x 2900xt 1gb will perform better than the 8800 ultra x 2
terabyte drives aren't quality drives yet,, while the WD 750gb is
1000w psu is highly unnecessary, 750 silencer is slightly overkill
4 gb RAM will not benefit any gamer over 2 gb
with that budget he should for sure go watercooling
and drop that plextor drive :/
you can get a $30 LG one almost as good

Can you actually back up any of the claims you've just made?

No?
Okay, then be quiet and stop spreading crap you don't know.

umm... much of that IS quite accurate, except for the Ultra part. 750W is fine, provided that the amps are up for it.

sigh...its late...i'm lazy...but
overclockerforums.com said:
Crossfire scales better and more efficiently then SLI, and with dual cards in super high resolutions crossfire takes the lead over SLI.

At high res Crossfire 2900XT > SLI 8800 Ultra.
somebody support me on this...i found this claim on several forums but no actual benchmarks :/

One Terabyte Hitachi SATA drive compared to others
WD 750gb wins price and performance

i dont even have to back up my power supply as if its not enough power
plz shoot me

2gb is PLENTY for gaming, will load and run everything alright
4gb will make vista run slightly faster, not worth $100 unless you do heavy video editing, or large intensive programs that require loads of RAM

plextor vs lg

simple ^^ if he wants to spend 5-6k let him. he isn't worried about spending an extra 100$ for 4gb of ram. Even if it doesn't help gaming performance it helps e-peen growth. XD! im teasin.. Dude just go overkill and buy 2 of all the best stuff. And go for watercooling. Or spend half that on a system that will perform the exact same in games.. and share the wealth! XD It isn't like you're goign to notice a change between 200 and 220 fps or somethign ridiculuous.

Thanks for a ALL your help! I would have been lost without you guys. I put in my pre-order for Crysis and am looking forward to seeing what this thing can do! (OC)

p.s.It ended up around $4500
