My friend wants to see what the best he can get in that price range is, he needs a monitor in that price range too, preferably > 20" and he will mostly use it for gaming, starcraft 2 and... unreal tournament?

the only thing i would change to play those games is lower the cpu to an e6550 and get the 8800gts 320mb

that should be enough for the 8800gts

I agree...its going to help so much more than maybe 400mhz more on the CPU. At 20inch or above an 8600GTS will have a very hard time handling games like the ones he wants to play...an 8800GTS wont really though heh well maybe
