Ok, on my HP Laptop, yesterday, my internet stopped working. And by internet, I mean everything. It doesn't even register its own wireless card, and it wont pick anything up, even when I directly connect it to a router. I cant get it online at all anymore for some reason, and I've tried everything. Ive done every scan on my system, browsed through my registry, and everything else I could think of. Nothing is working.
One thing that seems connected though is the fact that I can no longer gain access into my windows Firewall settings. I don't use window's firewall, I use Avast, but it still worries me that I can't access it to either way... It says theres a problem with the ICS, and I get an Error 5: Access Denied warning. After going to my Admin Tools and looking through my services, I found that I couldn't manually start it either. It just doesn't work.
So, can anyone help me out with this? Is there any reason my laptop would literally become internet-illiterate over night?
