Vista and my network

Hey I just built a new rig and am running Vista (gross right?) well if I am idle for a long period of time or watching a movie etc. My internet goes out...not sure why and I am forced to restart to fix things I am using an Asus P5k Deluxe mobo Q6600 etc.

this happened with me a lot i just updated the drivers and it seemed to go away. most network drivers for vista right now are in beta testing or in early stages so give it time and it should work out. also is it a direct connection or a wireless connection?

No most drivers are not in beta testing anymore. I have had final drivers for my netowrk since Nov when Vista went RTM.

Check the Asus forums. There has been some known issues with some of their boards and Vista. It is because the boards are designed for XP and not fully capable of running Vista. It could be that you got a board just like that.
