You can wait for the "newer better stuff" but you'll always be waiting and right now, the q6600 is by far the biggest bang for the buck as far as cpu's go.

Eh, I'm happy with my c2d, if i ever NEED to upgrade, i will. These days I can barely game anyway with schoolwork and such. If I can play crysis fairly high I'm happy, maybe higher on 1440x900, and that's if I get a chance to play while juggling school and halo 3.

Lol I am so happy with my E6300 its ridiculous.

I paid 180 bucks for this last December and its still holding strong at 3.64ghz.

Even with a gimped 2mb cache it blows the majoirty of peoples C2D's away at gaming

aye halo 3 should be sweet.. though the replay value for the halo games dies in about a week for me >.> pretty good when you got some buddys over havin some drinks and playin 4p vs. but thats about it. Either way i'll probably grab or rent a 360 just to play it lol
